Wow! If you love natural wood on a Stratocaster, than you'll love this surfin' Strat. For the 2015 NAMM musical instruments trade show, Fender created 10 special edition guitars in Limited Edition. This "Longboard" Strat is a tribute to the surf culture of the California based guitar maker. Only 500 were made!!!
The beautiful body was build up out of different wood types: ash, walnut, rosewood and mahogany. The guitar has no paint finish but was finished with Natural hand-rubbed oil on the body and neck. Which makes it very resonant and it only weighs 3.435 Kg! Of course, the designers at Fender chose not to hide any part of the beautiful body under a pickguard. So the pickup cavities are on the back of the guitar with a clear back cover that makes the interior electronics visible. The neck has a slabboard rosewood fretboard and the Fender decal is laser-engraved on the headstock.
Condition
Excellent. There is a few little scratches on the back of the guitar. I thought there were some on the front, but these are flames or birdeyes within the wood. Comes complete with it's original hard case.
