Crafted by legendary pickup winder Josefina Campos in the Fender Custom Shop, the Dual-Mag II Stratocaster pickups offer a new level of tonal balance, depth, and clarity. True to their name, these hand-wound pickups combine two types of alnico magnets—alnico 5 under the low E through G strings and hand-beveled alnico 2 under the B and high E—for a unique sonic blend. This thoughtful pairing delivers shimmering highs, rich and controlled lows, and a perfectly smooth transition between wound and plain strings, enhanced further by a custom stagger featuring a “low G” magnet.
Wrapped in copper shielding tape for noise reduction and built with vintage cloth wire and fiber bobbins, these pickups are visually and sonically top-tier. The middle pickup is RWRP (reverse-wound, reverse-polarity), eliminating hum in positions 2 and 4 while preserving that unmistakable Strat sparkle. With moderate output and enhanced articulation thanks to formvar-coated magnet wire, the Josefina Dual-Mag II set is for players who demand exceptional clarity, warmth, and dynamic response from every string.
