This 2018 NAMM Limited Edition is a true collector's piece from the Fender Custom Shop. Built to '59 specifications by George Blanda, it features a gorgeous Faded Aged Daphne Blue Journeyman finish over a lightweight 2 piece alder body with flash coat lacquer and no buff, giving it a beautifully worn in look that tells a story without going full relic.
The Flame AA quarter sawn maple neck sports a comfortable 59 Esquire "C" profile, paired with a AAA dark rosewood fretboard and a 7.25" to 9.50" compound radius that blends vintage feel with modern playability. Under the hood, three Hand Wound '59 Strat pickups deliver that warm, rich, and balanced tone with smooth highs and vintage clarity that defines the late fifties Stratocaster sound. The Vintage Custom designation means this guitar combines period correct '59 specs with carefully chosen modern upgrades, and as a NAMM Limited Edition, only a very small number were produced worldwide.
