Wanna sound like Hendrix? This small pedal is a super addition to your pedalboard. And it is no longer in production, so grab one while you can!
This special edition Fuzz Face Distortion pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix with a custom finish inspired by John Van Hamersveld’s famous 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster art, remixed by Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration. Licks of green and blue flame mirror the intensity Hendrix brought to the stage, while the psychedelic lettering locks you straight into that late 60s atmosphere.
Housed in a compact MXR mini enclosure, the Authentic Hendrix™ ’68 Shrine Series Fuzz Face Distortion puts two classic Hendrix flavored fuzz voices under one footswitch. Flip the switch for the aggressive silicon bite associated with his later tones, or go for the warm, smooth germanium style saturation that defined his earlier recordings. It also includes buffered bypass for a wider tonal range and better compatibility with wah pedals like the Jimi Hendrix Cry Baby Wah. Prefer the purist route? Hit the Buffer switch to run it in true bypass and keep your signal path exactly the way you like it.
