This guitar takes that workshop idea and gives it the full Fender Custom Shop treatment. It was built as part of the Fender Custom Shop 2020 Summer Event limited run and carries the LTD decal, an engraved LTD neck plate and its certificate to prove it. The roasted pine body was hand sorted for weight and wears a thin flash coat lacquer in Aged Black, with a Relic treatment and heavy, dirty checking that looks like seventy years of smoky clubs. The rift sawn maple neck has a generous Large C profile, a medium tinted finish and a heavily worn back that feels like an old friend from the first note. \u003cspan\u003eTwo hand wound 50 to 51 Blackguard single coils, with Alnico 3 magnets in the bridge and Alnico 5 in the neck, deliver bright and raw early Telecaster twang with a strong attack and real vintage bite, while the hand winding adds dynamics and harmonic depth that follow every nuance of your picking. T\u003c\/span\u003ehe modded 51 Nocaster wiring lets you blend the neck pickup into the bridge for sounds a stock Esquire never had.
